Comments:
I may not be the most knowledgeable Saab expert out there, but in my short time as a Saab owner I have definitely performed more intensive repairs than most should ever have to do. All of my knowledge was obtained from (and limited to) working on my '03 9-3 SS.

The first month of owning my Saab, it threw a rod, so I had to learn how to swap the engine, replace the entire driveline including both axles, wheel bearings, tie rods, control arms, etc. Replaced a majority of the front suspension which required dropping the subframe. The swapped engine was in a bad shape so I disassembled it down to the bare block and with a toothbrush (not joking) cleaned every inch of what was left inside and out and replaced every single component on the way back out, popped the engine into the car, got everything hooked back together and fired it up first try.

I also replaced the CIM+ICM+ECU combo to match the key, and replaced all electronics within the center console with new replacements.
